Africa's Economy

Mineral resources, agriculture and trade.

One of the major challenges is poverty, which is very widespread. One consequence of this is a sometimes quite low life expectancy, corruption, crime and in some countries a politically unstable government. All these aspects have a negative impact on investment in the economy. In recent decades, Western countries have imposed various economic promotion programs, which in most cases have not been successful. One reason for the failure is linked to the mentality of the people and the way in which these projects were implemented.
